Distinguished Gentleman's Drive 2024

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive is a celebration of classic style. Founded in 2021, this next drive took place on Sunday, September 29th 2024 for the first time in Tauranga, hosted by 2 of our club members. It is an on-road motoring event, uniting classic cars built 40 years or older of any make or model, designed to encourage enthusiasts and vintage car owners around the world to dress dapper and drive for men’s health.

Funds raised by our Distinguished Gentlefolk support the charity Movember. These funds are invested in vital research and programs for prostate cancer and men's mental health to support the wellbeing of men all around the world. The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive is a themed event, where drivers and their passengers dress dapper to complement the elegant design of their vehicles.

Tauranga took part in the event for the first time and raised $1984 and had 36 drivers registered. The drive started with breakfast at Classic Flyers and lots of convivial chatter, followed by a cruise around the Mount, then on to Leveret Winery for a park up. The drive then continued to Waihi Beach RSA for lunch. The day was enjoyed by all and we we were happy to celebrate some older cars from Tauranga as well as the fun of dressing dapper. We were also happy to raise so much money for our fist time in Tauranga for mens' health. It was lovely to do a collaboration with the Vintage Car Club and other classic car owners from around Tauranga. Here are a few photos from the day.
