About Us

The Bay of Plenty Mustang Owners’ Club was founded in Tauranga in 2002 by a small group of Mustang enthusiasts keen to share the love of their cars and the fun of being part of a group of like-minded people.

Since those early days, the Club has grown to a membership of 110 families represented by around 150 plus cars!

The advent of the “new Mustang” in 2015 has seen a surge in membership in Mustang Clubs nationwide, and our Club is no exception.  We are proud to include 19641/2 to the very latest Mustangs, Shelbys, Bosses, Roush, Mach1 & Californian Specials in our stable. 

We warmly welcome all mustang owners and their cars to join our Club. We have members from Taupo to the Coromandel and everywhere in between. If you would like to join our Club, just click on Register on the top right hand side of the page. 

The Club enjoys regular monthly runs which include visits to collectors’ sheds, memorabilia museums, car shows or picnics, boot lunches, fun activities.  We like to vary the length of runs and from time to time enjoy a longer day out or a weekend away. Bi-monthly Club Nights are a recent addition to our calendar. 

Our main event of the year is the annual All USA Day Car Show which we host at Classic Flyers, Mount Maunganui, in November each year.  

Labour Weekend sees the National Mustang Convention take place, hosted each year by one of the seven Clubs associated with NZ Mustang.  Our Club members participate with enthusiasm in the weekend’s events and car show, and lasting friendships are made with club members from other parts of the country.
